Keep on keeping on
Philippians 3:12-14
We are not a finished work. We are still under construction.
- Do not be discouraged – Habakkuk 3:17- 19; 1 Samuel 30:6-8 – find strength in the Lord.
- Forget the past – “forget” means lose the memory of. Do not let it be at the forefront. The past does not have to define us. Every day God’s mercies are new.
- Press and reach forward – things will push back at us, but we need to strain to push forward and press on into what God has for us.
- Take note of the goal – have your goal in sight.
- Stay in your place in Christ – Proverbs 27:8. Do not be found outside of Christ. He has taken hold of you, stay in Him. God’s provision is within His presence. Stay in alignment with God. John 15:4-5 – you are not the vine, you are only a branch and you need to stay connected to the vine. Your place is in Christ.
