Press on
Philippians 3:12-14, 1 Peter 3:10
God says our past holds us back and tells us to press on. Often we remind ourselves of our past. We feel that we are not good enough because of what we have done in the past. This is not from God.
To “Press on” means to pursue constantly.
God is attentive to our prayers. We need to forget what is behind and strain to press on to what is ahead.
The God who we serve does not remind us of our past. He focuses on the now and the future. Because of what God has done in our lives we have to press on into what He has for us. We cannot allow the past to stop us going forward.
Ephesians 3:7-13 – are you a servant of the gospel or are you held back by the person you were before or the things you have done wrong in the past.
God has removed our transgressions as far as the east is from from the west. We need to take hold of what God has in store for us. He has dealt with our past. Whatever we have done in the past, God still loves us. Jesus died once for all.
